Diversity Committee

What we do

The Diversity Committee works to support underrepresented postdocs, and provides seminars and volunteer opportunities related to issues of diversity. Our committee works in close collaboration with the Du Bois Postdoc Circle and the SAS Office of Diversity and Inclusion in addition to the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs and Biomedical Postdoc Programs.

Our annual initiatives include Spotlight Cafes in which we host scientists from diverse backgrounds to share their career experiences and network with postdocs, and Mentoring Circles in which we pair students with postdoc mentors to support community building amongst underrepresented scientists.

How can you get involved?

We are always excited to have new people get involved! Now is a particularly great time to do so as we have opened recruitment for all committee positions! To learn more about this committee, please feel free to reach out to either of our co-chairs.
